Dees Down South

Dees Down South are the Official Dundee FC Supporters' Club in England. As such we are a fully affiliated member of the Dundee Supporters Association. We hold regular meetings in London and often get together to watch the odd match and have a few beers.

We also have an excellent quarterly newsletter, A Piece of Cake, which keeps members up to date with what's going on with the Dees Down South. Members articles are always welcome.

As well as the social side of things we also support the club by sponsoring players. Currently we sponsor Milan Páleník.

Yes, it’s time for your annual subscription - rates are unchanged yet again, so please help us by paying your subs early so we can pay Dundee for player sponsorship. Everything we can do to help the board with the increased playing staff budget will help Alex Rae and his team in their push for promotion. 3rd, 2nd, …you know what comes next!

We’ll have a report and photos from the Player of the Year dinner online soon. Held once again at the Hilton Hotel in Dundee, the event saw Kevin McDonald collect this year’s DDS POTY award from Grant Lorimer, as well as a host of other trophies. With 7 attending the dinner, this was by far Dees Down South’s biggest turnout so far. Put next year’s event in your diaries NOW (Sunday after the last game of the season) so we can book a table of ten.

We ran a prize draw for all members who paid their membership fees by 30th September, and the winners are listed below.

There’s good luck and bad luck for the Alexander family, recently returned from Los Angeles. Jennifer and Ross both came out of the draw as winners, but as Glen works for the Bank of Scotland, the SPL goodies will be somewhat like coals to Newcastle!

Warning! T-Shirts bearing the legend “Beer drinkin’, Peh eatin’, Arab hatin’ Dee til eh Deh” should NOT be worn where this is likely to cause offense to anyone except United supporters!

The annual Dees Down South Burns Supper will take place at 7pm (for 8pm) on Friday 25th January at the Crown Bar & Kitchen in Twickenham. More details can be found in the following flyer.
